shouting out so loud
rattling da hollow bones
that reside in the cloud.....
wondering........
if a poet posts in the forest
does he make a sound
or does it fall in a thud to the ground
does anyone hear him.....
slithering back under my rock
before I am reminded that
life is measured by the hands
on the clock.

as the smelling salts tickled my nose
darkness quickly recedes
answer to the prayer beads
grateful to all the Dead heads
holla'd back at jerry
as he set off for Valhalla' ferry
offered to pay his twopence fare
as the sky was rent by the static charged air
and the thunder of the Gods
rattled the bodysnatcher's pods
allowing me to reclaim my soul
from icy clutches of the cold
